One of the most powerful parts of this graphic novel is the perspective coming from a child! I think this really shines through the first two readings that we've had because it changes the story up. If this hadn't been told from a child's perspective we wouldn't necessarily be getting some of the realities and truths from it. We can see things and understand things that perhaps a child wouldn't understand/doesn't understand at the time. Also, we can relate to some of the things that are written about. As an example, there is a part in the second reading where the child goes to her first party and is all excited to be with her friends. This is something that I could relate to! Some of the most powerful aspects to this book are because it comes from the perspective of a child and I think that's awesome!
This is interesting but somewhat short. Try to get closer to 300 words in these posts.
