Persepolis... Part 2

After reading this book for three times now, I have looked for different things each time that I've read it. This time I tended to focus on the visual parts, and the comics. I have grown to appreciate the small details that I never really noticed up until this part. The use of black and white backgrounds are essential to the story. They help delegate the mood for the particular scene. When there is a darker background most of the time there is a negative aspect going on in the scene. Similarly, a lighter white background tends to have a more light and airy mood compared to the other scenes. Overall, I am thankful for what I have learned in this class because when you are able to read something multiple times, and still take something new away, that is pretty cool!
